POWERbreathe Exports in 2021

In their guidance in 2021 on the clinical management of the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommends increasing exercise and fitness with Inspiratory Muscle Training (IMT), such as POWERbreathe.

“Inspiratory muscle training (IMT) is facilitated through the loading of inspiration, normally by using a breathing device, such as… POWERbreathe.”

World Health Organisation

And in 2021, exports of our breathing trainers reached all corners of the world. The healthcare sector chose POWERbreathe IMT to help patients improve their breathing strength and stamina, after recovering from Covid-19. We see many respiratory physiotherapists incorporating POWERbreathe breathing training into their recovery programmes, including those for younger patients. In fact, this became apparent during 2021 in our Instagram feed. It is full of shares from healthcare professionals and patients themselves, revealing how they use POWERbreathe breathing devices to help them with their breathing.

POWERbreathe Breathing Trainers in 2021

We find that in 2021, the most popular POWERbreathe Inspiratory Muscle Training devices are the POWERbreathe K-Series and POWERbreathe Plus breathing devices.

Research into the use of Inspiratory Muscle Strength Training (IMST) to help lower blood pressure uses the POWERbreathe K-Series device. This is one of the reasons why interest in the POWERbreathe K-Series breathing devices shot up in 2021. The lead author of this University of Colorado Boulder study also recommends the POWERbreathe Plus Medium breathing trainer as an affordable alternative. And the POWERbreathe Plus Light Resistance and Medic Plus are recommendations from respiratory therapists for helping people, post-Covid.
