Chris Lord Journal: Model used - POWERbreathe Plus Medium Resistance

Model Used: POWERbreathe Plus - medium resistance

Today was the day I integrated my POWERbreathe training into the chest section of my workout – My usual regime is a two-day split focussing on my upper body one day then on my lower the next. I achieved this by breathing in through my POWERbreathe as I lowered the bar in a bench press and found that it really expanded my chest and stimulated my intercostals – wow I thought. I used my POWERbreathe ‘Fitness’ Plus in some of my weight training again today and it felt great. I used it whilst doing my Triceps Dips. I breathed in against the resistance as I dropped into the dipped position. This really worked my intercostals and also focussed my breathing. I’m doing some interval training later in the week and will try to incorporate my POWERbreathe into that too.

After trying out the ActiBreathe AbsCoreMore workout at the FitPro Spring convention I have been using my POWERbreathe while exercising on my abs ball, which feels great and trains my breathing and my abs at the same time, with the POWERbreathe really intensifying my workout. In the evenings I still use my POWERbreathe kinetic to check my Strength tests – I got 196cmH20 yesterday and should hopefully break 200cmH20 by the end of the week, fingers crossed!

Over the course of the last few weeks I have been making the most of the cool-down option on my POWERbreathe K3 and been doing this immediately after my training to help with recovery. Just focussing on my breathing for a few minutes after an intense session also helps me relax, something I have also found beneficial
