I have had asthma, COPD and emphysema for the last 20 to 30 years. Both my Respiratory Specialist and General Practitioner told me there was nothing more they could do as I was on maximum medication. My walking was limited to about 50 yards; showering was an effort and I had to give up my golf and tennis because I couldn't breathe. From 8th March 2009 I commenced using POWERbreathe. On 19th March I visited my GP who was impressed with how well I looked and could breathe. On 30th March I visited the Respiratory Specialist. I walked in, not puffing or panting and not short of breath. He wanted to know where the person he discharged from hospital was and what happened to him.
