POWERbreathe launches new series – POWERbreathe Kinetic
The third generation of POWERbreathe breathing training products, POWERbreathe Kinetic is now available to buy online and at good retailers, including John Lewis.
The new POWERbreathe Kinetic series of digital inspiratory muscle trainers, designed to deliver a superior breathing training experience, has been developed in partnership with top UK sport and exercise scientists.

Personalised training:
The POWERbreathe Kinetic’s intelligent training system uses Auto-Optimising IMT technology to assess the strength of the breathing muscles, automatically adapting the resistance load to suit personal training requirements and thereby maximising training effectiveness.
Advanced variable load training:
The POWERbreathe Kinetic’s rapid-response electronic valve system impressively measures respiratory pressure 500 times a second and makes 4000 precision movements every second, dynamically changing the training load.
What does this mean? POWERbreathe Kinetic matches the varying strength of the breathing muscles during each breath and sets the resistance accordingly. This allows for a fuller breathing experience and more effective training.
Training Guidance System:
POWERbreathe Kinetic provides a pacing metronome feature to guide breathing rate. It also keeps track of the number of breaths performed and indicates the end of the training session.
Training intensity selector:
Training session intensity can be set to suit an individual’s own training ability. Advanced users can therefore manually control training loads for precise training targets.
Training session display:
POWERbreathe Kinetic monitors up to 4 physiological training parameters allowing users to monitor training and undertake tests to access progress. Training results can be displayed alongside previous results, percentage improvements and training progress graphs.
Warm-up, Cool-down and Test modes (dependent upon model):
POWERbreathe Kinetic automatically provides an optimal resistance for inspiratory muscle warm-up and cool-down. Users may also perform a series of tests to assess breathing strength.

POWERbreathe Kinetic is a Class 1 medical device as classified under the Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC, and complies with EN 60601-1:2006 regarding medical electrical equipment.
