The POWERbreathe Medic inspiratory muscle training device has been approved for prescription in the UK.

• POWERbreathe Medic is scientifically proven to strengthen the inspiratory muscles, reducing breathlessness, improving exercise tolerance and enhancing quality of life in a wide range of patients.

In March 2006, after 20 months of rigorous assessment, the POWERbreathe Medic was made available in the UK for prescription in the National Health Service (NHS) Drug Tariff. In 2007 the POWERbreathe Medic was also made available over the counter (OTC) at pharmacies / healthcare retailers throughout the UK.

Can't get POWERbreathe Medic on prescription?

The POWERbreathe Medic model uses a light resistance calibrated inspiratory load. If you experience difficulties in obtaining the POWERbreathe Medic on prescription then we recommend you use the POWERbreathe Classic Light Resistance and POWERbreathe Plus Light Resistance, both of which use the same calibrated inspiratory load as the POWERbreathe Medic.
