    POWERbreathe needs you!

As a POWERbreathe user, you’ll know that the scientifically proven training regimen of only 30 breaths, twice a day, was found to be the most beneficial. That’s simply breathing in through your POWERbreathe, 30 times after you’ve brushed your teeth in the morning, and 30 times before bed. Simple and effective.

However, it seems to be so simple and quick that many of us may ‘forget’ to do it after a while. After all you don’t need to set aside much time or utilise additional equipment and it doesn’t require any specific environment in which to do your POWERbreathe training: you’re not going out on various routes for instance to undertake your training.

Czech Cyclocross Rider & POWERbreathe user wins World Cup Race

POWERbreathe in the Czech Republic, Truconnexion, are delighted to report that their POWERbreathe sponsored athlete, Cyclocross rider Martin Bina won the final World Cup race in Hoogerheide, Netherlands.

It was Martin’s first world cup victory and second podium after his third place in 2008…and this after he had to take a two-year break because of knee surgery. POWERbreathe became his essential training tool during his recovery, and he’s been using it since 2011.

Martin Bina said, "POWERbreathe is a great help."

We’ve translated Martin’s comments from Czech, but you can see the original on Trueconnexion’s website...

Project POWERbreathe – a cycling talent project

Our friends in the Czech Republic, Speedweaponry, have been busy working on Project POWERbreathe – a cycling talent project. The project, with help from Speedweaponry, supports promising young athletes with POWERbreathe.

First of all the five young athletes and project founder, Radomir Simunek, each had their breathing strength and peak inspiratory flow tested and measured using the POWERbreathe K5 and Breathe-Link software. This was used as a benchmark for analysing improvement. Each was then given their own POWERbreathe Plus (MR) Level 2 so they could start their breathing training straight away.

    After 5-weeks’ POWERbreathe training, all...

2012 Olympic Bronze Medallist, Karina Bryant on POWERbreathe

“POWERbreathe really made the difference to me prior to and during the games and now I have the medal to prove it!”

Judo heavyweight Karina won bronze in her Olympic success at London 2012. Earlier in the year Karina and her coach started looking to see if there was anything they could implement in training that would help clear lactate between fights. They also wondered if there was anything that could help Karina perform at her best during the later stages of her fight, such as improving her breathing stamina.

POWERbreathe offered Karina a POWERbreathe inspiratory muscle training device to incorporate into her training,...

Our very own Duncan is visiting our POWERbreathe friends in Brazil and has just sent us this little update…

A long journey yesterday. Got to bed at midnight UK time having left home at 2-40 am UK time.

Flight was on time and no problems although I find it hard to control my air rage towards the person in front of me who tipped his seat right back for the whole flight! (Take a deep breath Duncan, you should be really good at that!)

Arrived safely, very fast through their customs, they let anybody in! Got a lift to the hotel with Pedro (our man in Brazil) in his bullet proof car!! Didn’t ask why he needed one. Don’t think I will go out on any runs...
