The 10-year Anniversary of the UK Plastics Industry Awards was celebrated by hundreds of movers and shakers from this vital industry at the London Hilton, Park Lane, London on Friday 1st October 2010, where the winners were unveiled.
“The very high standard of entries for the 10th annual Plastics Industry Awards is testament to the fact that UK companies still lead the world in many aspects of plastics design, moulding and manufacture,” said Steve Crowhurst, organiser.
The POWERbreathe K-Series was up against stiff competition for the Consumer Product Design of the Year award from 2010 finalists: The Wean Machine (for providing nutritious baby food, instantly); a flight scuba regulator; and Yoomi self-heating baby bottle.
The recognition of the POWERbreathe K-Series for the Quality of Design and Product Innovation follows in the footsteps of previous recognition of POWERbreathe products by peer leaders and independent experts.
For example, POWERbreathe Classic, the first generation of POWERbreathe breathing training products, was recognised by the UK Design Council and named a “Millennium Product” in 2001.
The POWERbreathe K-Series is the World’s 1st Intelligent Digital Breathing Trainers and Inspiratory Muscle Trainers, and the result of over 6 years of research and development involving leading scientific experts from Brunel University (UK) and Internationally, working closely with the POWERbreathe product development and design team.
“The POWERbreathe Team is proud to have gained this recognition from the UK Plastics Industry leaders, who have recognised that the World Leading Qualities of British Research, Product Design and Innovation are very much alive,” said Harry Brar, Managing Director of POWERbreathe.
POWERbreathe, an International British company, looks forward to further recognition in the UK and Internationally, from professionals in the Health, Medical, Sports, Fitness, Music and Education fields, as well as, from consumers who recognise the benefits of better breathing.
“POWERbreathe is an example of the Best of British,” added Harry Brar, POWERbreathe’s Managing Director.
